Finansa Back
1of 6

This is a practical way to explain how end‑to‑end encryption works.

Your Data. Your Key. Only You Can Read It.

In the Finansa app, your encryption key is generated on your phone and saved securely there. This demo walks you through each step — the same way it works in the app.

Your Private Encryption Key (in the app: created & stored on your phone)

In Finansa, this key is generated inside the app on your phone and saved securely on your device. We do not store it. We cannot recover it.

If you lose access to your phone or the key, the encrypted data cannot be decrypted — even by us.

Your Data (in the app: encrypted on your phone before sync)

When you turn on sync in Finansa, your data is encrypted on your phone before it is sent. Here, type a message to encrypt the same way.

What Leaves Your Phone (in the app: only this encrypted data is synced)

This is the only version that ever leaves your device. In the app, only this encrypted form is sent to our servers. Without your key — which stays on your phone — it cannot be read.

Looks scrambled? That's encryption working.

Stored on Our Servers (same in the app)

Our servers only store this encrypted data. We never receive your private key or the unencrypted content.

Only You Can Read It (in the app: your phone uses the key stored there)

To decrypt, you need both: the encrypted message you copied in Step 4 and the key you copied in Step 2. Paste both below — this shows that only someone with your key can read the data, even if they have the encrypted copy.

What This Means in the Finansa App

  • Your data is encrypted on your phone before it is synced
  • Your encryption key is generated and stored securely on your phone — we never have it
  • Our servers store encrypted data only
  • We cannot read, reset, or recover your encrypted data

This demonstration is for educational purposes and mirrors how end‑to‑end encryption works in the Finansa app on your phone.
